Gentle companion sessions offering memory yoga for loved ones and supportive discussion circles for caregivers.
Caregiving and dementia both reshape the landscape of daily life. This monthly companion session creates space for both the caregiver and the person living with dementia to be supported, engaged, and gently cared for.
While participants living with dementia enjoy chair-based memory yoga, music, movement, breathwork, and sensory grounding activities designed to promote calm, comfort, mobility, and connection, caregivers gather separately in a facilitated support circle.
The caregiver circle offers practical education, guided discussion, emotional support, and peer connection in a safe, non-judgmental environment where experiences can be shared openly and honestly.
Together, these parallel sessions create a circle of care that honours dignity, reduces isolation, and supports both individuals on the journey.

Some conversations are still waiting to be had.
Topics like sexuality, intimacy, and dementia can feel uncomfortable or unfamiliar to talk about and that’s exactly why this support group matters.
These experiences are real, deeply human, and often carried quietly by individuals and families navigating dementia. When these conversations are avoided, people are left without guidance, reassurance, or support.
As cognition changes, so do needs, boundaries, communication, and connection. Without the right support, this can create confusion, discomfort, or distress for both individuals and families.
This June, we’ll be creating a gentle, respectful space to open that dialogue alongside Deanna Leippi, sex therapist, who will bring additional expertise and compassion to the discussion.
📍 Location: Evolutions Wellness Collective, Saanichton
🗓️ Date: June 10
🕕 Time: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
✨ This is a FREE support group. Registration is required : care@gentlepath.ca
✨ Limited spots to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
Whether you are a care partner, someone recently diagnosed, or simply looking to better understand, you are warmly welcome.
An anonymous questionnaire will be sent to all participants upon registration for those who may not feel comfortable speaking in front of a larger group.

At a Grief Café, we traditionally gather around warm tea and sweets and engage in respectful and compassionate discussions. The focus is not on mourning or grief but rather on fostering a deeper understanding of loss and its impact on our lives. It is not grief support or counselling session but a safe space to talk openly about grief.
The concept of Grief Cafés is rooted in the belief that talking about grief can help us live more fully and appreciate the preciousness of life. By creating a safe space for these conversations, Grief Cafés contribute to breaking down the taboo surrounding loss and encouraging a healthier and more open approach to our loss.
Please join us as we lend space for those who are curious about how to navigate death, grief and loss.

A gentle creative workshop blending art journaling, Zen doodles, and grounding practices to explore grief, reflection, and healing.
Grief can leave us searching for language that does not always exist in words. This workshop offers another path: paper, pattern, colour, breath, and quiet reflection.
Blending art journaling, Zen doodles, and grounding exercises into a gentle creative exploration of grief, memory, and healing. Using layers of colour, collage, texture, ink, and reflective prompts, participants will create pages that honour both what has been carried and what is still unfolding.
No artistic experience is required. Truly.
Participants will be guided through the process of building layered pages while exploring calming grounding practices and mindful creativity. Supplies are included, though bringing favourite pens, papers, stamps, scraps, or small meaningful items is encouraged.
Expect an atmosphere of curiosity, gentleness, play, reflection, tea, and the occasional joyful mess.
Together we will create a supportive and welcoming environment filled with quiet creativity, reflection, experimentation, and moments of unexpected beauty. Sometimes grief arrives like heavy weather. Sometimes it arrives like a blank page. This workshop offers space for both.
