Cat Jensen, MEd., BEd., CYC, RCC
Cat Jensen is a Registered Clinical Counsellor whose child and youth-focused practice is grounded in connection, play, and emotional growth. Drawing on more than 20 years of experience in education, mental health, and counselling, she supports children, youth, and families as they navigate life’s challenges with compassion, curiosity, and care.
Cat believes that young people thrive when they feel safe, understood, and connected. Her approach is relational, strengths-based, and developmentally responsive, helping children and youth build emotional awareness, confidence, resilience, and social-emotional skills through play-based, expressive, and evidence-informed therapeutic practices.
Rooted in a deep belief in belonging and the healing power of relationships, Cat creates calm, welcoming spaces where young people can feel seen, valued, and accepted for who they are. She works collaboratively with families and caregivers to foster meaningful growth, strengthen relationships, navigate big feelings, and support young people in developing a deeper understanding of themselves and their unique strengths.
Cat understands that when a young person is struggling, families often need support too. She values partnering with parents, caregivers and other support people, recognizing the important role they play in a young person’s wellbeing. Through collaboration, guidance, and open communication, she helps families better understand their child’s experiences while building practical strategies that support growth both in and outside of counselling sessions.
Whether a young person is experiencing anxiety, emotional challenges, social difficulties, life transitions, or simply needs a safe space to explore their experiences, Cat is committed to helping young people build the skills, confidence, and resilience they need to flourish.
I’m Geneva (pronounced jen-i-vah) a therapeutic counsellor who’s been told I have a way of listening that allows people to really feel understood. Clients often describe me as kind, present and insightful, someone who can accept and hold all of them with care.
I believe that we are all one-of-a-kind, which means we each have a unique path through life. My approach is curious, intuitive and collaborative. After all, you know you best. Having navigated plenty of my own challenges, I’ve never been a fan of advice. What I have appreciated is a reflective witness who can gently guide me back to my center, clarity and innate wisdom. That is what I strive to offer you.
When you work with me you can expect transparency, spaciousness and compassion, along with frequent vibe and reality checks. I enjoy offering opportunities in session to engage in processes or exercises to move through emotions or blocks, gain new perspectives, reorient patterns or trajectories and cultivate a mind set that matches your goals. You will leave sessions with insightful information and maybe a step to take, so you can integrate what is evolving in you and your life.
Hello, my name is Andrea Swallow (she/her).
Having lived most of my life within Vancouver Island’s natural beauty and having family connections with deep roots on the Saanich Peninsula, it is with great respect and care that
I acknowledge living on the unceded territory of the Wsanec people.
Having personally encountered adversity, trauma and complex loss at a young age, my perspective has given me a sensitive and compassionate understanding of the emotions and ways in which people are affected by, and process life’s challenges. I believe healing starts when we can acknowledge and validate our pain, name what needs to shift, together, and show up for ourselves and each other.
My work and volunteer experience has always revolved around supporting youth and minorities, for I am passionate about diversity, community and belonging, knowing how beneficial and profoundly life altering these connections can be.
Advocacy and social justice keep my internal flame lit while connections and relationships fuel it.
I am privileged to hear your truths, have honest conversations and do the work alongside you.

As a mental health counsellor in Central Saanich, I am honoured to support individuals on their paths toward healing, self-understanding, and personal growth. Clients often come to counselling seeking greater clarity, support with anxiety or stress, or a desire to live in a way that feels more peaceful, grounded, and authentic.
My approach is compassionate and person-centred, grounded in the belief that each person has an innate capacity for self-healing and positive change. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns at your own pace.In my work, I draw on Adlerian therapy, which honours your unique life experiences and sense of purpose, as well as a feminist perspective that recognizes the social and cultural influences shaping our mental health. Together, these approaches support meaningful insight, empowerment, and lasting change.
